My wife is a huge fan of Karaoke and has been wanting one of the Magic Sing karaoke systems for a some time now. I resisted because, well… I want my neighbors to like me, and I doubt they will after they hear me sing.
I was a little skeptical that this would work very well, but my wife had used them before, so I made the plunge. I chose this model because it had 2 microphones and many settings that could be changed like pitch and key.
You can adjust several things, on the fly even, using the microphone or the remote control (included). You can adjust the key, pitch, melody, tone, echo and tempo.
While one person is singing, another can be adding the next song to be sung. There are 2 microphones so you can sing duets or just take turns sharing them.
All of the songs I have seen have been spot on with the words showing you when to sing on the screen, if you are not as familiar with a song. I have noticed a few words that were not correct, but for the most part it has been spot on.
It comes with 2 microphones, the base unit, HDMI cables, RCA cables, a travel case and a song book. The microphones take AA batteries as does the remote control. The base unit has a place to insert a USB for songs you want to add. If you have an HDMI hookup on your TV it will give you the best performance. The song book is ordered by song title but not by artist. However you can search by artist using the remote or the microphones.
The description on Amazon said that it comes with 2600 Tagalog and English songs. We only have English songs on ours. I have reached out to the seller to find out about the missing Tagalog songs and I will update this post with what I hear.
My wife has thoroughly enjoyed it, and that would be enough for me, but I have also gotten enjoyment out of it as well. Not from singing mind you, but more from watching others sing and have a good time.
The quality is nice and it sounds good, as long as I am not the one singing. It has been a hit for any gathering of family or friends. There are higher quality devices but they also have a much higher price tag than the $235 that I paid.
